These are free-standing and are painted on plywood. They will be used for photo props and decorations for prom.
I am currently working on decorations for the NWFSC Collegiate High School prom. Their theme is Cirque du Soleil. These are a few of the table centerpieces.

Dress-Up Box

This dress-up box was made using a plan from www.ana-white.com. What a great website....thanks Ana!
Shoes go on the bottom and a mirror and hooks will go on the sides.

These were gift orders made with wood. The flowers were cut out and painted, then glued onto the boxes.

Outdoor Bar Art

This piece of art was designed for an outdoor bar. It was made with barn wood, plywood and scrap pieces that were found or given to me. The bottom piece will be used as a shelf and is not attached. It is very heavy and will need brackets underneath for support. I really enjoyed making this and can hardly wait to see it installed!

This birdhouse was made to look like the customer's real house. It was made to fit over a 4X4 post and has few extras ; the fishing pole on the side and, at the request of a very sweet 4 year old girl, "Pink on the inside, please".

This box was made to hold my daughter's CDs. It was made of untreated cedar, carved and painted on the front.

Frame for Mom

I bought an unfinished frame at Michael's. I drew on the design, then used my wood burning tool and Dremel to carve on the lines. I used acrylics to paint it. I think by placing a piece of wrapping paper inside the frame before the photo is inserted makes it look better when you're giving it as a gift. This one is for my Mom. What a wonderful time we had in Colorado with our family this year!
Thanks, Mom

I have always admired Sticks furniture. This is my attempt to do something similar. I made this tray with plywood and carved the pictures with a dremmel and a wood burning tool. Then I painted it with acrylics.
It was my gift for the dirty santa game at our Bunco Christmas Party this year.

For Luz....Merry Christmas!

We had fun decorating Passages with help from new friends and neighbors. Thanks everyone!!
Checking off my Christmas order list.....Snoopy and Woodstock yard art. Most of my orders are gifts this year so I won't be able to post photos of those until after Christmas. In the mean time, I've been setting up my own yard and our neighborhood entrance for the holidays with a few improvements from last year.

Mermaid

The large mermaid was purchased to decorate a little girl's room.
Photos were glued with Mod Podge onto wood, then scroll saw cut into mermaids and painted. Real sand, glitter and a seashell were used as embellishments.

The planter box was custom made with a blue glass filled starfish on the front. The sign and seahorses will be for sale at the next craft fair.

Seaweed

I used a scroll saw to cut the birch plywood seaweed and glued it to a piece of pine. After sanding, it was painted and applied with an encaustic wax. I had fun making this piece for myself. It was the first time using encaustic wax. What a fun medium to work with! I have ideas for more art like this.

These plate & napkin holders were custom ordered gifts. The fabric samples were painted on the boxes 1st to match the fabrics used at the river cabins. The skis were glued on, but the rest was painted with acrylics and sealed with Polycrylic by Minwax.
