I think the stain went on only an hour before the Bluebirds checked it out and moved in! Here is Mama working on the nest. How cute!

Bird Condo

This birdhouse condo is going on a 4x4 post and will get a dark stain and perhaps roses planted around the post. I will add new photos of it when it is installed. This was challenging to make without a pattern, but so much fun!

Lucky Ladybugs

How lucky I am to have a friend who would go to all the trouble of helping tear down an old barn in Kentucky and hall it all the way here just so I could make birdhouses and such!! The wood is just beautiful. Thank you Lillard!

I thought my son could use some "useful" art to decorate the blank walls of his room, so this is my attempt at a Steampunk Hat Rack. I did a collage using old photos, paint, and trinkets from my favorite junk/hardware store.

I'm getting ready to make more Ladybug Boxes and birdhouses. Hope it gets above 20! It's freezing outside. The wood is piling up and I'm making time to post on this blog just because I am too cold to go out there......really!

My romantic husband knows how I LOVE taking pictures. He surprised me with a trip to the beach at sunset....hiding the camera in the back seat! It is so beautiful here, even in December. Thank you sweetie!

All of my yard display orders are done. I have so much fun painting for the holidays. With help from my friends and neighbors, Santa will be in the front of the subdivision along with lots of lights and packages instead of moving around the inside of my house scaring my kids. Paul and I have been having a little fun moving Santa around the house. My teens say he's creepy. How can Santa be creepy?! Well, if you woke with Santa at the end of your bed in the morning, or Santa was standing at the top of the stairs, or you turned on your lights in the bathroom and there was Santa winking in the mirror....maybe a little. Parents have to have fun too. Merry Christmas everybody!
